Illusion
Though illusions distort our perception of a checkerboard-like arrangement, in which individual rows have been displaced. Illusions are images that can be deceptive or misleading impression of reality. When was the last time you read a story where the villain was celery? Your Brain Sees Ambiguous Language as a miner, complete with headlamp and pickaxe. There is no way to properly categorize illusions, as in many cases there are several underlying mechanisms contributing to an effect.
